The ICHAF Training Institute, (Almenta 240 ICHAF), is a South African TVET College , (Technical Vocational Education and Training College).

ICHAF has been in existence since 2002 and was founded by the Devan Moonsamy, who is still ICHAF’s Executive Director today. Devan and his team, with more than a decade of corporate training experience, have over the years developed 100’s of training programmes and have upskilled thousands of learners nationally within the corporate and government sectors. ICHAF is Accredited with the Services SETA decision number 4068 as well as the MICT SETA. ICHAF, which is an acronym for The I Can Help Africa Foundation, has a firm belief that education and skills development initiatives is the cornerstone of a successful family, business, organization and institution. Devan Moonsamy

Founder / Executive Director

Devan is passionate about learning and development and founded ICHAF in his early 20’s. Early on in his career he recognized his talent in the area of facilitation and realized his commitment to people development thus turing these skills into his livelihood. Devan holds a qualification in ODETDP, (Occupationally Directed Education Practices), as well as these other academic qualifications: Generic Management NQF4, Generic Management NQF5, Business Administration NQF3 and NQF4, LLB UNISA, Strategic Management NQF6 NWU and is currently studying Psychology through WITS.

Administrator & SETA Expert

Evon has got more than 20 years professional experience and is very skilled in the ETQA sector. She deals with all SETA related matters and ensures that ICHAF is compliant and adhering to all SETA requirements. Evon also manages all Administrative queries for ICHAF

Evellin is a skilled facilitator who is also responsible for business relationship management. With more than 18 years corporate training experience Evellin understands the business very well and takes a personal interest in the development of our learners.

Winnie is our Internal Assessor and has 15 years experience in the ETQA field. Winnie holds an honors degree in Education.

Mbali Buthelezi

Junior Office Administrator

Mbali Holds a BA Humanities degree, with majors in Anthropology and Development Studies. She is the voice of ICHAF, and your first point of contact. Her welcoming demeanour and her communication skills means she is always ready to assist with any learner or administration queries.

Lumka Siyongwana
Lumka Siyongwana

Soft Skills

Lumka Siyongwana, the ICHAF specialist in Soft Skills and short term interventions, earned her BA (Education) from the Walter Sisulu University and a BEd (Honours) from the University of Johannesburg. She is an accredited assessor (W&R SETA) and an ETDP Practitioner. She is a Learning and Development Consultant by profession and her experience in training spans over 15 years. She has worked for Metropolitan Health, DHL International, The Ackermans Group, The Foschini Group, The Edcon Group and joined ICHAF Training in 2014.

Administrator / Assessor

Quintin holds a BCOM degree and hold an accreditation as a qualified Assessor for various Leanership programs. He joined ICHAF in 2014 and also assists with Office Administration.

Microsoft Facilitator

Nicole is a Microsoft facilitator, who enjoys working with computers and technology. She passionate about people development and individual up-skill. She enjoys creative outlets such as poetry writing and visual marketing and media involvement.
